Richard Reyes Memorial Scholarship Program

The Richard Reyes Memorial Scholarship Program was started in 1995 in memory of Sgt. Richard Reyes. Rich was one of the founders of the National Latino Peace Officers Association, and his vision was to ensure that more Hispanics received a  higher education. Consequently, he was the driving force behind establishing the initial NLPOA Scholarship Program, for students entering San Jose State University, his alma mater.  Because of the sheer quality of students who apply for NLPLOA Scholarships, our awardees now represent some of the most prestigious colleges in the United States.

None of this would be possible without our corporate and private sponsors. On behalf of the NLPOA and the Community, thank you!
